Riverfront Cabin | Mtn Views, Fishing & Hiking

Cabin was perfect. The master bedroom mattress was amazing!!! After exploring the adjacent small towns ALL DAY, it was wonderful coming back to the cabin for a good nights sleep. The deck overlooking the water was priceless. The neighborhood appeared safe, very friendly neighbors. We will be back again soon!!

The cabin is cozy. Sits right on the river. Dishes were dirty. Sofa bed needs replaced. But we really enjoyed our stay.

Mountain view was great, river great also .Cabin was nice and clean everything we needed and more. Highly Highly recommend this cabin great location loved everything about it. Looking forward to coming again when we have more time. Thanks Lucius & Vera Epps

It took me a few days to write this. I was surprised when I opened the drapes in the living area to see paint drops down the right side windows and the fair left. I expected the bugs and etc to be there. Closet in the bedroom needs some sort of lighting-with the drapes there, it’s to dark to fine your underwear. This part is on me for not speaking up- the AC unit in the living area humming would drive you crazy-my husband is heard of hearing so we just turned up the TV if not outside ( the bedroom AC unit with the door closed worked fine at night for blocking the humming ) - The pizza pan and the baking sheet pan was NASTY - glad I brought ali foil - would I stay here again? Positive thoughts -refrigerator was cold the hot water hot!!! The DECK and RiVER VIEW was WONDERFUL!! The rocking chairs

Adequate facility, The Tuckasgee River is a little threatening.

The owner was very responsive, she got back to my messages very quickly! Im so picky about cleanliness, it can be a mansion but if not clean, I'm not having it, but this cabin was very clean. I was a little concerned since it is a little older cabin, but it really is clean. The river was wonderful , the towns dillsburo and sylva were quaint and wonderful. Me and my mom usually go to chimney rock and we were so bummed we haven't been able to go and we didn't know if we would ever find a place we like jst as much, but I think we finally did! A couple of suggestions would be to maybe put a hammock up on back porch, nothing beats a hammock in that beautiful environment, and this is a personal preference thing,but the fluorescent led lightbulbs were a bit bright, but I'm sure they thought the cabin was dark enough w the dark decor so they used bright light bulbs, but my mom has a lot of health issues and the led thats not warm soft white can start to bother her over time. Again , jst a personal preference. The sheets were clean, and if that's not clean it's a no in my book. I hate the ck in is so late and CK out is so early, and I know that more and more hosts choose these times, but when you pay a lot to stay somewhere, that extra hour really helps, esp if you are only staying 2 or 3 days. Overall we enjoyed our stay so much!

Beautiful house and view. The river was great and we caught a few trout. We will surely return.

We felt comfortable and relaxed. We loved its easy access into home and river. The covered and gated porch allowed us to enjoy the river without worrying about our dog.The bed was super comfy and shower felt great. We will definitely stay again.Suggest entry floor rugs to keep house tidier and a handrail in bath/shower.

My cousin and I came up for a short getaway from the wives for a couple of days. The cabin was great, as described, right on the water and perfect for what we needed. My wife and I will be coming back in the Spring!

Super easy to get to and close to everything. Just a beautiful view as its right on the river. You cant beat listening to that. Really enjoyed our stay.

We’re looking to cool down some and just relax. Spent four days and did just that. Reminded me of my childhood days in the Shenandoah valley of Va. Also took the Rocky mtn train ride and may do some rafting the next time. Had relatives come up from SC for the day and they loved it also. Although we didn’t have any, particularly like they welcomed a controlled pet. Hope to come back when the leaves change color.

Nice clean cabin with the deck right on the river. We watched rafts, tubes and kayaks go by. There we also people trout fishing right out in front. The only issue we had was trying to contact the owners for things. We would definitely go back.

We have stayed here several times and we always recommend it highly. This was the first summer stay, and just as good as ever. THe place was nice and coo, with plenty of shade ad lots of time to sit by the river and do nothing! l

The cabin was wonderful. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and loved the porch with the rocking chairs and listening to the water. We didn’t want to leave!!!! Hope to stay there again.

We had a great week here. We loved the rockers on the deck, in the shade mostly, watching the people tube, canoe, and kayak, and watching the geese and ducks swim by. We even fished right in front of the cabin. We actually cooked breakfast and most lunches and ate out a few times. We recommend Haywood BBQ, Boots Steakhouse, and Creekside restaurants. Not far to Ingles and Walmart, and check in and check out was seamless. Communication with the host was stellar and we had a small issue with the bathroom sink not draining, and he had some Drano sent right over to fix it. We appreciated the effort to make things as comfortable and easy as possible. The bed was comfortable, and the air in the living room worked really well, but it was stuffy in the bedroom. We found a fan in the closet on the third day which helped tremendously to get air flowing. Overall, we had a great experience! We will miss the breeze and the sound of the river.

We are both nearing 80 and have been married about a year and a half. Our first chance for a honeymoon! Loved the river and the chance to just RELAX! Loved Sylvia and Dillsboro and the quaint, interesting shops. We plan to return!

If you love the peaceful, relaxing sounds of water in the river, watching ducks enjoy their morning swim and porch sitting, this place is for you! Great spot to drink your morning coffee and just relax. We spent 1 night (1/16/24) as a stop over on the way to Atlanta. It snowed the day before we arrived and was "very cold." The temperature was in the single digits/teens the entire time we were there. The cabin was warm, cozy, clean and had everything you needed. The owners were very helpful. I just wish we could have stay a little longer and the temperature was a little warmer. The best part of our stay was being right on the river which was very relaxing. We will be back to do some back porch fishing maybe in the fall. The view was simple and amazing.

This is a nice cabin situated on the Tuskasegee River. There are numerous outdoor activities nearby. We were able to see the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad train across the river. Our time to enjoy the property was limited due to a short stay and busy schedule.
