Your mornings on our deck, coffee in hand, kids already out on the lawn; your evenings downstairs, pool table busy, popcorn going in our movie room. Sleeps 16 in five bedrooms, hot tub, game room, fire pit. Kayaks and fishing poles in our yard, Marion shops and groceries 4 miles out. Our home sits on a quiet cove at one end of Lake James, with a grassy lawn running down to our dock and no long staircase to manage on the way. It was built for family gatherings and friend groups. The hot tub faces the cove with a swivel TV overhead, the fire pit is ringed with ten Adirondack chairs under string lights, and our entire lower level is given over to games and movies. Coffee on the deck, an afternoon at the pool table, and an evening in the hot tub is a full day without anyone getting in a car. Our two-story home keeps three themed bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a half bath on the main level. The primary bedroom has a jetted tub in its bathroom, and a third bedroom holds two full beds side by side. Our bunk room is on the lower level, built to sleep eight in full-size bunks, with a full bathroom of its own and the game room and movie room a few steps away, so the kids have a floor of their own. Our lower level is where most groups end up spending the trip. The pool table sits under a hand-painted mural of Lake James, done by a local North Carolina artist, with a standup Golden Tee cabinet and skee-ball alongside it. Our movie room is on the same floor, with an extra-large screen, streaming, an oversized couch, and air hockey, foosball, and a basketball game set up around it. Popcorn is stocked for movie night, and the bar area has an ice maker and two beverage fridges, so nobody has to go upstairs for drinks. Self check-in with an electronic keypad, with a unique code sent for your stay. The two-car garage is available to you, along with four exterior parking spaces and an EV charger on the side of the house. HOUSE RULES • No smoking or vaping inside; smoking outdoors only • No pets, please • No parties or events • Quiet hours after 10 PM out of respect for our neighbors on the cove • Guests must be 25 or older to book FAQS • Ring doorbell at the front door and a Noise Aware sound monitor inside, which measures volume only and does not record audio. No other cameras on the property and none inside our home. • Lake James levels are managed by Duke Energy and drop through late fall and winter, so direct water access from our yard is limited in those months. • Our cove is a no-wake zone and the water is shallow. If you bring a boat you may need to trim the motor up and paddle out of the cove. • Life vests are stocked from child sizes through adult XXL, and children need an adult watching them at the shoreline. • Bedroom 5 is a small bunk room connected to Bedroom 4 by a sliding door. It gives privacy, though the walk to the bathroom and the rest of our home goes back through Bedroom 4. • Hot tub is open from 6 AM to midnight. • Our lower level holds the bunk room, game room, and movie room, and very little sound carries up to the main-floor bedrooms. • Professionally cleaned between every stay with fresh linens and towels, and a digital guidebook of our own local recommendations waiting for you.
